4 Corner Resources is hiring a Chief Financial Officer for a regional public planning council in Northwest Florida. Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities:

Direct all accounting, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting functions for the organization and its affiliated entities Partner with the CEO on the annual budget, the strategic operating plan, and key organizational decisions Oversee investment strategy, cash flow, banking activity, and internal controls Manage the general ledger and all bookkeeping functions Lead the annual audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards, GAAP, and grant requirements across dozens of federal, state, and local funding sources Supervise, mentor, and develop a finance team of four Represent the organization at regional, state, and community meetings as needed Identify funding opportunities that support regional planning and community development initiatives

Chief Financial Officer Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role Solid, hands-on governmental accounting background (GAAP, OMB guidance, grant compliance) Experience managing diverse funding portfolios, including federal, state, and local grants Strong communicator who can build trust with an experienced team that has a range of personalities A collaborative, can-do attitude and a willingness to work alongside your team, not just manage from above

Chief Financial Officer Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in accounting or a related field CPA or CPFO certification Prior experience with a regional council, MPO/TPO, or similar governmental planning agency

Hybrid, approximately 80% remote, with quarterly all-staff meetings and periodic regional travel

Pay Rate:

Starting at $115,000 annually, based on experience 4CR1
