Job Description

About Our Company More than an e-commerce company — we're a vertical industry platform, built on proprietary data, AI capabilities, transaction infrastructure, and a broad supplier network. We've spent years building the foundation; now we're getting ready to for the next chapter, and we're looking for the financial leader who will help us get there. This is a genuinely exciting moment to join us. We're not asking someone to maintain what already exists — we're inviting a CFO to help write the next chapter of our story, build something durable from the ground up, and stand at the front of the room when we ring the bell. If you've been looking for the IPO you get to lead — not just support — this is it. What You'll Own This role comes with real scope and real trust — you'll be shaping how we operate as a public company for years to come. IPO Leadership Lead the company's IPO finance workstream from planning through execution, roadshow, and SEC comment-letter response. Coordinate directly with PCAOB auditors, SEC counsel, investment banks, and capital markets advisors. Drive IPO readiness, due diligence, and financial reporting workstreams, identifying and resolving risks before they threaten the timeline. Public Company Financial Infrastructure Build a finance organization capable of operating as a U.S. public company. Establish SEC reporting processes (10-K/10-Q, XBRL) and mature internal controls to full SOX 404(a)/404(b) readiness. Ensure the organization consistently produces timely, accurate, audit-ready financial information. Capital Markets & Investor Relations Personally build and run investor, analyst, and Board communications — not delegate them to an outside IR firm.
Own the quarterly earnings cycle:
release drafting, earnings call participation, and guidance. Lead or co-lead capital raising activity and speak firsthand to valuation and dilution mechanics. Develop and deliver the company's financial story to the investment community. Financial Strategy & Business Partnership Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and capital planning, and financial analysis. Build meaningful financial dashboards and KPIs for executive decision-making. Partner with the leadership team to improve profitability, working capital, and long-term shareholder value. Finance Organization Leadership Evaluate the current finance organization and close capability gaps. Build a scalable team, defining clear ownership across Controller, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and SEC Reporting functions. Coach and develop finance leadership. What We're Looking For We're looking for a CFO who's done this before — someone who has stood at the center of an IPO, not the edges of one. If you've personally owned , as the accountable executive, the areas below, we'd love to talk: 1. IPO Execution — Led an S-1 registration end-to-end, including the roadshow and SEC comment-letter response, as the executive of record — not in a supporting capacity. 2. SEC Reporting — Owned 10-K/10-Q filings and XBRL reporting as the named responsible executive. 3. SOX Compliance — Built or matured a SOX 404 internal controls framework from scratch, through full 404(a) and 404(b) readiness. 4. PCAOB Audits — Selected and directly managed a PCAOB-registered (Big 4 or national firm) audit relationship — not inherited one. 5. Audit Committee Processes — Worked directly with a public company audit committee: preparing materials, presenting, and responding to inquiries. 6. Earnings Process — Personally owned the quarterly earnings cycle, including release drafting, earnings call participation, and guidance. 7. Investor Relations — Personally built and run investor/analyst/Board communications. 8. Capital Raising — Led or co-led a priced round, debt facility, or book-build, with firsthand command of valuation and dilution mechanics. We'd love to hear your story — come ready to share which of these you personally led versus supported. Real, hands-on ownership is what sets this role apart, and it's exactly the experience we're excited to put to work.
One note on filer experience:
we're specifically looking for experience from a U.S. domestic filer regime (S-1 registration, Form 10-K/10-Q, full SOX 404(a) and 404(b) attestation). If your public-company experience comes primarily from a Foreign Private Issuer structure (Form 20-F/F-1, SOX Section 302 only), we'd still love to hear from you — just flag it so we can have the right conversation. Ideal Background Prior CFO or senior finance executive experience at a company that completed a U.S. IPO, with direct, named accountability for the process. Deep familiarity with SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and PCAOB audit relationships as the responsible executive, not a delegate. A natural storyteller who's excited to be the face of a company's financial narrative to investors, analysts, and the Board. CPA and/or investment banking background a plus, but not a substitute for hands-on IPO ownership.
