As our portfolio, partnerships, and operational footprint continue to expand, we are entering an important next chapter in the evolution of our company. This is a significant leadership position within our organization. The CFO will serve as the senior financial leader of the company, working directly with ownership and executive leadership to oversee financial strategy, accounting, reporting, forecasting, cash management, controls, and long-term financial planning across a growing portfolio of hospitality businesses. This is not simply an accounting oversight position. We are looking for a financial executive who understands hospitality at an operational level and can translate financial information into strategy, accountability, and better business decisions. Hospitality experience is required. The ideal candidate has significant experience overseeing the financial operations of restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, hotels, QSR concepts, hospitality management companies, or other multi-unit hospitality organizations. This is a fully in-office position based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available. Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the overall financial health, strategy, and financial infrastructure of Knallhart Management Group and its portfolio of operating and managed entities. This individual will oversee the company's accounting and finance functions while serving as a strategic partner to ownership, executive leadership, and operations. The CFO will be expected to understand not only what the numbers are, but what they mean. This person will identify trends, challenge assumptions, recognize financial risks and opportunities, establish accountability, improve processes, and provide leadership with the financial intelligence necessary to make informed decisions. As KMG continues to grow, the CFO will also play a critical role in developing scalable financial systems, reporting structures, internal controls, and processes capable of supporting an increasingly complex organization. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall financial strategy of Knallhart Management Group and its portfolio of hospitality businesses. Serve as a strategic financial advisor to ownership and executive leadership. Oversee accounting and financial operations across multiple restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, hotels, quick-service concepts, management agreements, and other hospitality assets. Lead, develop, and hold accountable the accounting and finance team while establishing clear departmental expectations, deadlines, and standards. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across all entities. Review and approve financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Establish and maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, approval processes, and reporting standards throughout the organization. Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting across the portfolio. Develop short- and long-term financial forecasts to support company growth and strategic planning. Oversee company-wide cash flow planning, cash management, liquidity, and financial obligations. Monitor financial performance across individual concepts and the consolidated organization. Analyze revenue, COGS, labor, prime cost, operating expenses, margins, EBITDA, and other key hospitality performance indicators. Partner closely with operations leadership to identify financial opportunities, improve profitability, control costs, and strengthen individual venue performance. Develop meaningful financial dashboards, KPIs, and reporting packages for ownership and executive leadership. Identify financial risks, operational inefficiencies, unusual trends, and material variances and proactively recommend solutions. Evaluate the financial viability and potential return of new concepts, acquisitions, management opportunities, capital projects, and other growth initiatives. Build financial models and scenario analyses to support major business decisions. Support new restaurant, nightlife, hotel, and hospitality openings from budgeting and pre-opening costs through stabilization. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related accounting, inventory accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet management. Ensure accurate allocation of shared and corporate expenses across multiple entities and managed assets. Oversee relationships with banks, lenders, insurance partners, CPAs, auditors, tax professionals, and other financial partners. Coordinate annual audits, tax preparation, regulatory reporting, and other financial compliance requirements. Ensure adherence to GAAP and appropriate accounting standards across the organization. Evaluate and continuously improve financial technology, accounting systems, reporting platforms, and processes. Establish scalable financial infrastructure capable of supporting continued expansion without sacrificing accuracy, accountability, or visibility. Present financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to ownership in a clear and actionable manner. Bring financial discipline to the organization while understanding the speed, complexity, and realities of hospitality operations. Required Qualifications Significant progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership, including senior-level responsibility for financial strategy and reporting. Hospitality financial leadership experience is required. Candidates must have direct experience supporting restaurants, bars, nightlife venues, hotels, QSR concepts, multi-unit hospitality groups, or hospitality management companies. Demonstrated experience overseeing the financial performance of multiple entities and/or multiple operating locations. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls. Strong understanding of hospitality financial metrics, including COGS, labor, prime cost, inventory, margins, revenue centers, and operating profitability. Experience preparing, reviewing, and presenting monthly financial statements and executive-level financial reporting. Demonstrated ability to build budgets, forecasts, financial models, and scenario analyses. Experience managing and developing accounting and finance teams. Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills. Strong proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems. Experience with QuickBooks and hospitality platforms such as Restaurant365 (R365), MarginEdge, Toast, or comparable systems is highly preferred. Experience working within a rapidly growing, multi-entity organization is strongly preferred. Experience supporting new openings, acquisitions, development projects, or hospitality expansion is highly preferred. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong executive communication skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to ownership, operators, and non-financial leaders. High level of discretion, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly. Who You Are You are a financial leader, but you are also an operator at heart. You understand that hospitality finance does not exist inside a spreadsheet. You understand inventory. You understand labor. You understand prime cost. You understand seasonality, high transaction volume, multiple revenue centers, vendor relationships, payroll, tip reporting, fluctuating margins, new openings, and the operational realities that influence financial performance every single day. You can walk into a P&L and identify where the story is. You know when to drill down, when to challenge a number, when to ask another question, and when something simply does not make sense. You are comfortable sitting alongside ownership discussing long-term strategy and then working with an operations leader to understand why a particular location missed its labor target. You are proactive rather than reactive. You do not simply report what happened last month. You help the organization understand why it happened, what is likely to happen next, and what we should do about it. Most importantly, you are excited by growth. You see the opportunity to join an evolving hospitality organization and help build the financial foundation that will support where it is going next. Why Join Knallhart Management Group? Knallhart Management Group is at an exciting stage in its evolution. Our portfolio is growing. Our partnerships are growing. The complexity and scale of our organization are growing with it. Bringing a Chief Financial Officer into the organization represents an important investment in the future of our company. The person who steps into this position will have the opportunity to help shape how KMG operates financially for years to come—not simply inheriting a finance function, but strengthening it, developing it, and helping build the infrastructure required for the next level of the organization. We are looking for someone who wants to build alongside us. Competitive executive salary of $125,000 - $175,000 based on experience. Paid vacation. Executive leadership position within a rapidly expanding hospitality organization. Direct partnership with ownership and senior executive leadership. Significant influence over the financial strategy and future infrastructure of the company. Opportunity to help shape financial systems, processes, controls, and reporting as the organization continues to scale. Exposure to a diverse portfolio spanning restaurants, bars, nightlife, hotels, entertainment concepts, and managed hospitality assets. Hospitality financial leadership experience is required. Candidates without meaningful direct experience in the hospitality industry will not be considered. This is a full-time, fully in-office executive position based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
