  • Physician Practice Management About Adare Capital Adare Capital is a fractional CFO firm that helps growing businesses gain the financial clarity, leadership, and infrastructure needed to scale with confidence.
We partner with clients who need experienced financial leadership but may not yet require the cost of a full-time CFO. Our model is built around matching each client with a fractional CFO whose industry experience, leadership style, and capabilities align with the company's specific needs. We are currently expanding our bench of experienced CFOs so we can continue serving new clients as they come on board. Our CFOs work with clients on a fractional, independent-contractor basis and are matched with engagements based on their experience, availability, and fit with the client. The Opportunity Adare Capital is seeking an experienced fractional CFO to support a physician practice management organization preparing for significant growth. The company plans to expand its existing operations and add additional office locations. The ideal CFO will have direct experience working with physician practices, medical groups, healthcare services organizations, or multi-site healthcare operations. This individual will serve as a strategic financial partner to ownership and leadership, helping the organization understand the financial implications of expansion, evaluate new locations, strengthen its reporting and forecasting, and build a scalable financial foundation. We are looking for someone who can translate financial information into clear recommendations and help leadership make informed decisions about growth, capital allocation, staffing, profitability, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Develop a financial strategy and roadmap to support the company's growth and expansion plans. Build financial models for new office locations, including startup costs, patient-volume assumptions, staffing requirements, revenue ramp-up, break-even timing, and expected return on investment. Create and maintain cash-flow forecasts, operating budgets, and multi-year financial projections. Evaluate the company's capital needs and provide guidance on funding expansion through cash flow, debt, or other financing options. Establish location-level and provider-level reporting to measure revenue, profitability, productivity, and operating performance. Identify the key financial and operational metrics leadership should monitor as the organization grows. Analyze payer mix, reimbursement trends, collections, accounts receivable, and revenue-cycle performance. Review provider compensation structures and their impact on productivity, profitability, and long-term growth. Evaluate staffing levels, labor costs, and overhead requirements across current and future locations. Develop dashboards and reporting packages that give leadership timely, actionable financial information. Improve budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and management reporting processes. Partner with practice leadership, accounting, revenue-cycle, and operational teams to improve financial visibility and accountability. Identify financial risks, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve margins and cash flow. Present financial findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and executive-level manner. Help build repeatable financial processes that can scale as additional offices are added. Ideal Qualifications Previous CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, or senior financial leadership experience. Direct experience supporting physician practices, medical groups, practice management organizations, or multi-location healthcare businesses. Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, payer mix, revenue-cycle management, provider productivity, and medical-practice economics. Demonstrated experience helping an organization open, acquire, or integrate additional locations. Experience developing location-level profitability models and expansion feasibility analyses. Strong cash-flow forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and KPI-reporting capabilities. Ability to move beyond historical reporting and provide forward-looking strategic guidance. Comfortable advising owners and executive leadership on complex financial and operational decisions. Able to communicate financial concepts clearly to nonfinancial leaders. Collaborative, practical, and comfortable working within an entrepreneurial growth environment. Experience working in a fractional, consulting, or independent-contractor capacity is preferred. CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required. Engagement Structure Independent-contractor, fractional CFO opportunity. Remote, hybrid, or on-site involvement based on the client's needs and location. Initial and ongoing time commitment will be determined by the scope of the client engagement. CFOs are matched with Adare Capital clients based on industry expertise, capabilities, personality, availability, and client needs. Engagements may include an initial financial assessment, project-based work, or ongoing monthly CFO support. Placement on Adare Capital's CFO bench does not guarantee a specific number of hours or an immediate client assignment. What Success Looks Like The successful CFO will help the client move from reactive financial management to a clear, scalable decision-making framework. Leadership should have a stronger understanding of current performance, the financial requirements of expansion, the economics of each location, and the investments necessary to grow responsibly. The CFO will provide both the strategic perspective and financial discipline needed to help the organization add offices without sacrificing cash flow, profitability, operational visibility, or quality of care. Why Join Adare Capital's CFO Bench? Adare Capital gives experienced CFOs the opportunity to apply their expertise where it can make a meaningful impact. We manage business development, evaluate client needs, and thoughtfully match each engagement with the CFO best equipped to serve the organization. Our CFOs remain focused on what they do best: helping leadership teams understand their numbers, make better decisions, and build stronger businesses. If you have meaningful physician-practice or healthcare-services experience and are interested in fractional CFO opportunities, we would welcome the opportunity to learn more about your background, availability, and ideal client engagements.
