Job Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location:
Franklin, TN We are working with a growing company that is looking to add a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to their leadership team. This is a hands-on role where you'll serve as a strategic business partner while also overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, partnering closely with ownership, and helping guide the financial direction of a growing business. What you'll be doing: Lead all aspects of the company's accounting and finance function Partner with ownership to develop financial strategies that support long-term growth Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting Prepare and present monthly financial statements and key performance metrics Manage banking relationships , financing, and cash management Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements Develop and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting capabilities Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions Oversee the accounting team and mentor staff as the company continues to grow What they're looking for: 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities Previous experience as a CFO, Controller ready to step into a CFO role, or senior finance leader in a small or mid-sized company Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Experience partnering directly with business owners or executive leadership Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically while remaining involved in the day-to-day details Strong communication , analytical, and decision-making skills CPA preferred but not required
