About Our Healthcare System Limestone Medical Center (LMC) in Groesbeck, Texas is a 20-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 5-bed emergency room offering convenient access, located directly off of HWY 14. Accredited as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Department of State Health Services. LMC proudly serves the citizens of Limestone County, Freestone County Hill County, also, Leon County, Robertson County, and Navarro County.             JOB TITLE
            Chief Financial Officer
            REPORTS TO
            Chief Executive Officer Job description: Responsibilities of the CFO/Comptroller include leading all financial operations, such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management. The CFO/Comptroller will collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors on strategic planning and growth initiatives, cost control, and financial risk mitigation. Duties of the CFO/Comptroller are management and oversight all aspects of financial operations of the hospital including:
            • Manage Revenue Cycle to optimize revenue, reduce claim denials, and improve patient satisfaction.
            • Oversee and review the receipt of all cash, supervise deposits and maintain cash control.
            • Prepare trial balances, financial statements and special exhibits as well as proper classification, coding, posting and balancing of all financial accounting documents and funds of the hospital.
            • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
            • Support the CEO in engaging the Board of Managers concerning issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
            • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communication with staff at all levels throughout the organization. Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
            • Provide leadership in the management of Texas supplemental payment programs.
            Position Qualifications Required Education:
            Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
            Experience:
            Minimum of 3 years of progressive financial leadership experience within healthcare finance.
            Leadership:
            Proven supervisory or department management experience.
            Preferred Certifications:
            Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.
            Advanced Degree:
            Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA/MS).
            Healthcare Specialty:
            Direct experience in Critical Access Hospital (CAH) finance, CAH cost-reporting mechanics, and rural reimbursement structures.
            Texas Programs:
            Practical experience with the Texas Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP).
            Education:
            Bachelor's (Preferred)
            Experience:
            CFO or Controller in a
            Critical Access Hospital:
            1 year (Preferred)
            License/Certification:
            CPA (Required)
