Job Description
Claims Manager #22591 Bishop & Company is seeking a Claims Manager for the Claims Department of an insurance management company. Position Summary The Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Claims Department, ensuring claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role provides leadership to Claims staff, manages departmental policies and procedures, oversees audits and reporting, and maintains claims system updates. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop Claims Department staff. Oversee claims processing to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely turnaround. Maintain and update health plans, fee schedules, coding updates, and claims system resources. Monitor department productivity and prepare operational and audit reports. Conduct claims audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and training programs. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve claims-related issues and improve processes. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Five (5) years of claims supervisory or management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of health insurance claims administration, regulations, and claims processing systems. Experience with medical terminology, billing, and coding.

Location:
Honolulu, HI Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Fridays 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (1-hour lunch break).
In-office Pay:
$35,000 - $45,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
