Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing & Insurance Specialist for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare administrative professional who understands medical billing, insurance verification, claims processing, prior authorizations, and patient account support. The ideal candidate will enjoy working behind the scenes to keep billing processes moving smoothly while also providing helpful service to patients and internal departments. Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and prior authorization requirements.
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims to support timely reimbursement.
- Review Explanation of Benefits, resolve billing discrepancies, and address denied, delayed, or unpaid claims.
- Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal teams regarding claim status, coverage questions, and payment arrangements.
- Process patient intake information, update accounts, and maintain accurate documentation in company systems.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and perform general administrative and customer service duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $33,280 to $37,440 per year.
