Overview The Claims Manager will lead a team handling workers' compensation and injury-related claims. This role is responsible for supervising staff, managing claim operations, and ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of claims staff. Oversee team workloads and assign claims with clear direction and priorities. Manage a personal caseload while supervising overall team activity. Review open and closed claims to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards. Establish and manage reserve and settlement authority levels. Monitor workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency. Handle and track complaints through proper documentation and resolution processes. Communicate regularly with leadership on performance, metrics, and operational updates. Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings to align on goals and expectations. Contribute to process improvements, procedures, and departmental standards. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in claims Bachelor's degree preferred Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills Ability to train staff on technical claim handling topics.
