Claims Specialist Location:
Worcester, MA Pay:
$21.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM A well-established and growing New England company is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Specialist with previous claims experience to join its Risk Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the claims process and enjoys investigative work, managing documentation, data entry, and working in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Review incident reports and claims documentation for accuracy and completeness. Manage and maintain claim files from intake through resolution. Gather necessary documentation and coordinate with internal departments, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. Assist employees throughout the claims process and with return-to-work programs. Enter, update, and maintain accurate claim information in company systems. Track claim activity, analyze data, and prepare reports and spreadsheets. Maintain organized and confidential records while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Support the Risk Management and Safety teams with claims-related administrative projects as needed. Qualifications Previous claims experience is required. Experience handling workers' compensation, liability, insurance, or other types of claims is strongly preferred. Understanding of the claims process, including claim intake, documentation, investigation, and file management. Strong data entry and computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent required.
