Join Our Team as a Reimbursement Specialist! Fully On-site In Jackson Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accuracy? LifeWays is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to join our Finance Department. In this role, you'll help maximize reimbursement by preparing accurate claims, posting payments, and ensuring timely billing for Medicare, commercial insurance, and self-pay accounts.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and submit accurate, timely insurance claims. Post payments and reconcile consumer and insurance accounts. Maintain insurance information in our billing system. Monitor outstanding claims and work with insurers to resolve issues. Process electronic claims, self-pay statements, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Support compliance with CARF, MDHHS, and LifeWays policies. Collaborate with teammates on special projects and provide backup support as needed. Maintain confidentiality and represent LifeWays with professionalism. Required Education / Certification / Licensure CHAMPS training, required. High school diploma, required. Three years of medical billing experience, required. Mental Health First Aid Training, upon hire. Preferred Education / Certification / Licensure Associates Degree in business, or related field. Medical billing certification.
