Opens in new tab Sr. Claim Specialist-Westchester Property Chubb Hoboken, United States Apply now Save Posted 18 hours ago Permanent Competitive Sr. Claim Specialist-Westchester Property Chubb Hoboken, United States Apply now Save Sr. Claim Specialist-Westchester Property Job Description The Chubb North American Property team services several business units within Chubb, with books of business involving large property programs written on manuscript quota share policies with contract Independent Adjusters as well as Excess and Surplus Lines. This "individual contributor" position will service claims in the Westchester Excess and Surplus line. The claim profiles range from commercial property, inland marine (including Difference in Condition policies), and small commercial business. This position will utilize consultants and Independent Adjuster in their efforts to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of damage; promptly contact client's and contract adjusters; promptly and properly develop the file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis; maintain an active diary; monitor diary to achieve timely development of file and timely disposition of the claim; recognize and pursue recovery where possible; adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices act; establish accurate and timely reserves; effectively communicate with all internal and external customers. Key functions of the role include ensuring the adequacy of reserves, proper valuation of claim settlements, and appropriate use of experts, providing high level of customer service, while delivering quality claim results.
Qualifications:
Education:
College degree preferred or equivalent in education and experience.
Competencies/Tech Skills:
Candidate must have proven technical knowledge in the investigation and analysis of Commercial Property Claims, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the handling of Commercial Property Claims. This would include knowledge of insurance contracts, industry trends, and severity and a strong knowledge of Chubb's systems, procedures and philosophy. Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative fashion with a wide spectrum of people, develop and maintain strong business relationships within Claims and with underwriting partners. Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator with a strong ability to address diverse audiences. Candidate must be both service and results driven, highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to make timely and appropriate decisions. Advanced organizational and time management skills required. Ability to accept new challenges in a continued changing business environment required. Ability to coordinate, deploy and deliver claim service. Apply strategic, proactive and innovative skills to develop creative solutions and resolve problems to achieve desired business results. If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure. The pay range for the role is $85,800 to $123,200. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
