We are seeking a Claims Adjuster to join a North America-based team. This individual will be responsible for evaluating, processing, and managing insurance claims, including determining coverage and issuing indemnity payments within delegated authority. The role requires careful interpretation of policy terms, adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and collaboration across internal teams to ensure accurate and timely claims resolution while maintaining a high level of client service. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze policy documentation and related transactions to determine claim eligibility and coverage Assess, process, and resolve claims in a timely and accurate manner Establish and maintain appropriate reserves for each assigned claim Communicate effectively with clients and brokers regarding claim status, requirements, and determinations Clearly explain coverage decisions, including denials where applicable Partner with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions as needed Collaborate with collections teams to support recovery efforts and inform claim outcomes Contribute to process improvements and best practices within claims management Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field required. 2-3+ years of experience in claims adjusting or a similar role within the insurance industry Familiarity with insurance, financial assessments, and transaction documentation a plus Foundational knowledge of contract law, business law, and insolvency concepts Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance expectations/KPIs Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesSimilar jobs in Princeton, NJ
