Job Overview About Us We are a growing general surgery practice looking for an analytical, detail-oriented individual to join our Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) team. No prior medical billing experience required—we will train you from the ground up. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious college student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on corporate or healthcare operations experience with real room for upward growth. What You Will Do (We Will Train You!) As an IDR Specialist, you will help our providers fight for fair payment from insurance companies under New York State and Federal "No Surprises Act" regulations.
Case Tracking:
Manage a high-volume pipeline with strict legal timelines.
Data & Legal Prep:
Review medical claims, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and provider documentation to assemble winning dispute packages.
Portal Management:
Utilize state and federal online portals to officially submit dispute details and final payment offers.
Collaboration:
Work alongside our billing experts to flag claims that qualify for the dispute process.
Position Requirements Academic Excellence:
Current college student or recent graduate with a minimum 3.7 GPA (please include your GPA on your resume).
Detail-Obsessed:
You notice the small things and have a proven track record of producing high-quality, accurate work.
Deadline-Driven:
You thrive when managing multiple moving parts and strictly adhering to deadlines.
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable working with dual monitors and quickly learning new software, state portals, and spreadsheets.
Availability:

Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
