Job Summary Donegal Insurance Group has an opportunity for a Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Manager to join our Claims team. This position will lead the Special Investigations Unit and oversee the investigation and handling of claim files and insurance-related activity requiring specialized investigative skills and experience. The SIU Manager will provide leadership and direction to a team of SIU investigators while partnering closely with the Claims Department to identify, investigate, and resolve potentially fraudulent claims. The position will also provide investigative support on matters that may not involve fraud but require specialized investigation or assistance. The successful candidate will be a strong leader and experienced investigator with excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This is primarily an office-based position with some travel, including occasional overnight travel, as needed. Responsibilities and Duties Lead, manage, and provide direction to a staff of SIU investigators, including assigning and monitoring investigative activities. Oversee the investigation and handling of claim files requiring specialized investigative services. Review investigative findings and provide guidance and recommendations to Claims personnel regarding claim resolution and potential fraud referrals. Partner with Claims leadership and department personnel to provide investigative guidance and support in the resolution of complex claims. Develop and deliver trainings for Claims Department personnel in fraud awareness, detection, investigation, and referral procedures. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 3 years of Insurance or Insurance related experience Minimum of 5 years of law enforcement or SIU investigative experience Bachelor's Degree or specialized training Proven leadership skills Experience conducting open source social media investigations preferred Data analysis/Investigative Analyst experience is a plus Microsoft Excel, Access and Word Combination of education and investigative experience considered
