Job Description

Inside Desk Property Adjuster - California
  • Only apply if you have previous and relevant desk adjusting claims experience working on the insurance carrier side.
  • Aegis Security Insurance Company continues to expand its homeowners' insurance business and has the need for an Inside Desk Property Adjuster to join our team of claims professionals based in Phoenix, Arizona.
This position will phone adjust first-party property losses that occur in California. You will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, adjusting, negotiating, and settling claims while ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient claim resolution. As a member of our Claims team, you will be expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, contractors, and other team members while making sound coverage and claim decisions and contributing to the overall success of the Claims department.
Key Accountabilities & Competencies:
  • Investigates, evaluates, adjusts, negotiates, and settles first-party California homeowners' property claims.
  • Ability to read and interpret homeowners' insurance policies and properly determine coverage.
  • Partners with external vendors, contractors, and customers to accurately evaluate and resolve damages.
  • Demonstrates an ownership attitude with the ability to analyze information and make accurate, timely decisions.
  • Maintains accurate claim files, documentation, reserves, and payments.
  • Provides timely and professional customer service throughout the claim process.
  • Works effectively with other Claims team members and departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Core Requirements:
  • MUST have 2-3 years of experience phone adjusting first-party property claims in California on the insurance carrier side.
  • Experience interpreting homeowners' policies and making coverage decisions.
  • Proficiency with Xactimate and other PC programs such as Excel.
  • Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or
AIC/CPCU
designation preferred.
  • Must be located in the greater Phoenix area and able to work from our Phoenix office.

Location and Schedule:
Phoenix, Arizona 8-hour shift + 1-hour lunch Office based Monday-Thursday with Fridays WFH.
Pay:
$65,000 - $85,0000
