Job Description
Job Summary We are specifically interested in candidates who have previous experience working as a Property Claims Adjuster, Desk Adjuster, Field Adjuster, Claims Examiner, or Estimator for an insurance carrier, particularly companies such as State Farm, Travelers, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, USAA, Nationwide, Farmers, Amica, or similar property insurance carriers. The ideal candidate understands how insurance carriers review residential property claims and has experience handling losses involving roofing, siding, gutters, exterior components, and interior damage. This position will work with our team to review carrier estimates, prepare and review supplements, identify missing or incorrect line items, communicate professionally with adjusters, and help ensure that the scope of work accurately reflects the repairs necessary to restore the property. Duties Review insurance carrier estimates and scopes of loss. Compare carrier estimates against contractor estimates, measurements, photographs, and documentation. Identify missing quantities, labor operations, materials, and necessary repair items. Prepare and review Xactimate estimates and supplements. Communicate professionally with desk adjusters, field adjusters, claim representatives, and homeowners. Assist with supplemental documentation and estimate revisions. Review claims involving roofing, siding, gutters, flashing, skylights, windows, exterior components, and interior repairs. Understand depreciation, ACV, RCV, deductibles, supplements, overhead & profit, and other common property-claim concepts. Help our team understand carrier estimating practices and how to properly document requested scope changes. Review EagleView, Hover, measurement reports, photographs, inspection reports, and other claim documentation. Maintain organized documentation and communication throughout the claim process. Skills Extensive experience in property insurance claims processing, including casualty and liability insurance claims handling. Proficiency with estimating software such as Xactimate for accurate damage assessment and repair cost estimation. Strong knowledge of insurance law, workers' compensation law, and insurance regulation standards relevant to claims adjudication. Expertise in fraud prevention and detection techniques within the insurance industry. Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate fair claim settlements while protecting company interests. Advanced analysis skills for evaluating damages, policy coverage, and liability issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Familiarity with financial software used in claims processing environments for tracking expenses and settlements. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Strong client communication abilities to explain complex claim details clearly and empathetically.
