Southfield, MI Job Summary First Point Construction is looking for a motivated Field Inspector with a sales background who is looking to earn unlimited commission while growing with an expanding company. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, meeting homeowners, and building relationships. As a Field Inspector, you will inspect residential roofs for storm damage, document your findings with photos, educate homeowners on the restoration process, and help identify opportunities for roofing and exterior restoration services. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently without being confined to a traditional office environment. The ideal candidate is responsible, reliable, comfortable working at heights, and possesses excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and people skills. First Point Construction Field Inspectors have the opportunity to learn the construction and insurance restoration industry while developing valuable sales skills. Responsibilities Perform roof inspections for storm damage. Safely climb ladders and walk on residential roofs to inspect roofing systems. Photograph and document storm damage using company procedures. Meet with homeowners to explain inspection findings and the restoration process. Generate new business through referrals, customer interactions, and limited door-to-door canvassing in storm-affected neighborhoods. Upsell roofing and exterior restoration services when appropriate. Schedule appointments and coordinate with contractors throughout the project. Maintain communication with homeowners from inspection through project completion. Maintain accurate inspection reports, customer records, and job documentation. Collaborate with the office team to ensure outstanding customer service. Travel throughout Southeast Michigan and surrounding area Qualifications Sales or customer service experience preferred. Comfortable working at heights and walking on residential roofs. Must not be afraid of heights . Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Professional appearance and positive attitude. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license required. Reliable personal vehicle required. Ability to lift and carry ladders and perform physical job duties. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
