Workers' Compensation Coordinator Confidential Employer Position Summary A confidential, multi-state organization is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Coordinator to manage workplace injury claims from initial reporting through resolution. This position will serve as a key point of contact between injured employees, operational leaders, insurance carriers, medical providers, claims adjusters, and third-party administrators. The ideal candidate has hands-on workers' compensation experience, knowledge of OSHA requirements, experience supporting claims across multiple states, and strong communication and organizational skills. This position operates within a lean corporate team and requires flexibility, including mandatory overtime and participation in a rotating on-call schedule. Key Responsibilities Coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial injury reporting through claim closure. Ensure workplace injuries are reported accurately and within required deadlines. Communicate with injured employees, managers, insurance carriers, claims adjusters, medical providers, legal representatives, and third-party administrators. Manage workers' compensation claims across multiple states while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Review claim activity, medical documentation, work restrictions, and return-to-work recommendations. Coordinate modified-duty and return-to-work programs with employees and operational leaders. Maintain accurate and confidential claim files, reports, and supporting documentation. Track claim status, upcoming appointments, restrictions, deadlines, and outstanding information. Assist with OSHA recordkeeping, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 documentation when applicable. Partner with site leadership to obtain incident reports, witness statements, photographs, and other necessary claim information. Coordinate and conduct site visits as needed. Identify claim trends, reporting concerns, and opportunities to reduce workplace injuries and claim costs. Prepare workers' compensation reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Respond to urgent workplace injury matters during assigned on-call periods. Support additional risk management, safety, and compliance initiatives as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous workers' compensation claims coordination or claims management experience. Experience working with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, or workers' compensation adjusters. Multi-state workers' compensation experience. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and workplace injury recordkeeping. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to manage confidential employee and medical information. Excellent interpersonal, communication, follow-up, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple claims, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to coordinate site visits and communicate effectively with employees and leadership at all levels. Availability to work mandatory overtime when business needs require it. Availability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for approximately one week every five weeks. Preferred Qualifications Direct OSHA reporting and recordkeeping experience. Experience supporting workers' compensation claims within a multi-location organization. Experience coordinating return-to-work and modified-duty programs. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills; Haitian Creole is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Schedule and Work Requirements Full-time position. Corporate-based role with interaction across multiple operational locations. Mandatory overtime may be required. Rotating on-call responsibility, including nights and weekends, for approximately one week every five weeks. During the assigned on-call week, the coordinator must be available to respond to urgent injury-related calls on a 24/7 basis. Occasional travel and site visits may be required.
