The Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing insurance claim processes from start to finish, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and strong collaboration between operations, adjusters, and clients. This role plays a critical part in driving claim resolution efficiency, minimizing delays, and supporting revenue flow through proper claim handling and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Oversight & Management Manage insurance claims from assignment through final resolution Review estimates, scopes, and documentation for accuracy and completeness Ensure compliance with carrier requirements and internal standards Monitor claim timelines and proactively address delays or issues Carrier & Adjuster Relations Serve as primary point of contact for adjusters and insurance partners Communicate job progress, scope changes, and documentation needs Resolve disputes or discrepancies related to scope, pricing, or coverage Maintain strong professional relationships with carriers and adjusters Internal Coordination Collaborate with production, reconstruction, and contents teams to align on scope and documentation Support Project Managers with claim-related questions and escalation handling Ensure job files are audit-ready and properly documented Process Improvement & Reporting Track claim metrics such as cycle time, approvals, supplements, and closeouts Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve claim efficiency Contribute to SOP improvements and training initiatives #SPTSoffice19
Qualifications Required:
Experience managing insurance claims (property, restoration, or construction preferred) Strong understanding of Xactimate and insurance estimating practices Excellent communication and negotiation skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously
Preferred:
Experience in restoration or disaster recovery environments Familiarity with carrier guidelines and audit requirements Experience working directly with adjusters and carriers
