What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an individual with experience in medical billing and insurance claims. About the

Role:

Claims Denials Specialist Reviews, investigates and resolves denied or underpaid insurance claims Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOB's), Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs), and payer correspondence to determine the cause of claim denials. Prepares, submits, and tracks reconsiderations and appeals with supporting documentation. Verifies patient insurance eligibility, authorization requirements and payer-specific billing guidelines to prevent future denials. Corrects coding, modifier, diagnosis and billing errors and resubmit claims accurately and timely. Communicates with insurance carriers regarding claim status and payment issues. Maintains documentation of all follow-ups, appeals, and claims resolutions in billing system. Identifies denial trends and recommends process improvements to reduce future denials and increase reimbursement. Stays current on changes in insurance regulations, payer policies and physical therapy billing requirements. Follow HIPAA regulations and company billing policies the Claim Denials Specialist will be responsible for posting payments for all company locations.
