Monday-Friday Job Summary American Child Care Centers (ACC #48) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Director to support the Director in daily operations of our licensed child care center. This role focuses on ensuring compliance, supporting staff, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial and administrative tasks. The Assistant Director plays a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and high-quality environment for children, staff, and families. Key Responsibilities Operations & Compliance Assist the Director in overseeing daily center operations Ensure compliance with ADHS licensing regulations, DES requirements, CACFP guidelines, and company policies Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment Be prepared for licensing inspections, audits, and monitoring visits Act as a mandatory reporter in accordance with Arizona law Staff Support & Supervision Assist with staff scheduling and ensure proper classroom coverage Support training, onboarding, and performance monitoring of staff Help maintain a positive, professional work environment Step in for Director when needed Parent & Communication Communicate professionally with parents regarding enrollment, billing, and concerns Support resolution of parent inquiries in a timely manner Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Procare Desktop & Administrative Duties Manage daily attendance and enrollment records using Procare Desktop Ensure accurate check-in/check-out records and child data entry Assist with billing, invoicing, and posting of payments in Procare Maintain backup/manual records when system issues occur Reconcile attendance records with billing and payment reports Generate and review reports for attendance, billing, and audits CACFP & Recordkeeping Assist with CACFP meal count tracking and documentation Maintain accurate records for audits and monthly claims Support reconciliation between attendance and meal counts Ensure all required documentation is complete and organized General Administrative Support Maintain enrollment files, licensing records, and staff records Assist with audits, reports, and documentation requests Perform additional duties as assigned to support center operations Required Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a compliance-driven environment Proficiency in computer systems, especially Procare or similar software Problem-solving ability and sound judgment Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Minimum Qualifications (Preferred / ADHS-Aligned) Minimum 21 years of age Prior experience in a licensed child care setting Experience with administration, billing, or recordkeeping preferred Familiarity with ADHS, DES, and CACFP requirements preferred Must pass all required background checks and fingerprint clearance Additional Requirements Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to step into leadership role when Director is unavailable Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Benefits Childcare discount Professional growth opportunitiesPay:
