Exempt, Full-Time Job Summary Reporting to the General Counsel, the Manager, Risk Management and Compliance provides comprehensive risk management and compliance support across Occidental College. The Director advises and collaborates with stakeholders on a broad range of matters, including risk management, insurance, data privacy, compliance, employment, and issues unique to higher education. The Manager, Risk Management and Compliance serves as a strategic and collaborative problem solver, helping the College identify and address risks while supporting institutional priorities in a complex liberal arts environment. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong project management skills, and the ability to effectively balance multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Job Duties 40%- Risk Management
- Primarily responsible for the procurement and administration of the College's risk management program, including property, general and automobile liability, environmental, cyber, workers' compensation, professional liability, sports accident, and other related insurance coverages.

- Support the College's Policy Committee by, among other responsibilities, drafting, developing, managing, and reviewing College policies and procedures.

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including, but not limited to, agreements related to the purchase of services, technology and software agreements, licensing agreements, program affiliation and collaboration agreements, and agreements related to other domestic and international transactions, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, institutional policies, and risk management principles.
- (Essential) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, compliance, legal studies, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
EXPECTED HIRING RANGE
$82,800/yr- 85,000/yr If you are offered this position at Occidental College, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and/or geographic location.
