Description Hanwha Qcells designs, builds, and manages financially sustainable solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions. The company brings a decade of global leadership in solar PV to North America, combining best-of-world technology, processes, and partnerships to deliver utility-grade solar PV solutions customized for the US energy market. Please note this role is in Cartersville, GA, 5 days a week onsite. Relocation is available as needed.
Role Summary:
The Trade and Customs Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing corporate processes and procedures and ensuring Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws and internal procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement internal compliance procedures and policies and ensure adherence.
Oversee Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Stays abreast of legal and corporate requirements in customs, trade, etc.
Report Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws and regulations to management.
Train and educate staff and stakeholders regarding legal and corporate requirements and updates.
Trade:
Develop customs compliance procedures and ensure compliance
Manage and communicate with Customs brokers. Ensure adherence with Broker SOPs
Maintain tariff classification database
Assist with value and origin assessments
Conduct post-entry audits of Customs entries
Manage retention of import records
Liaise with Qcells legal and management teams
Understand internal ERP systems.
Audit compliance with policies and laws.
Education and Expertise:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or other relevant area
8-10 years of compliance or risk management experience in customs and trade law
Subject matter expert in Global Trade Compliance, Customs Broker License preferred
