Overview P. Kay Metal Lewiston, LLC is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead our

ISO 9001

2015 Quality Management System and support our RMI-conformant responsible sourcing program. This role oversees product quality, laboratory controls, audits, corrective actions, supplier and customer quality, and continuous improvement for our metals manufacturing and recycling operation. Key Responsibilities

• Own and improve the

ISO 9001

2015 QMS, including document control, internal audits, management review, quality objectives, risk tracking, and external audit readiness.

• Customer and Supplier interfacing by hosting customer audits / resolving customer issues and conducting supplier audits as required
• Maintain RMI-conformant responsible sourcing practices, including supplier due diligence, traceability, records, corrective actions, and assessment support.
• Oversee onsite laboratory and product release activities to ensure tin, lead-based alloys, minor metals, and precious metals meet customer and industry specifications.
• Lead root-cause investigations, nonconformance control, customer complaints, supplier issues, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs including on-time delivery, lab calibration, supplier performance, customer feedback, and corrective-action closure.
• Partner with Operations, Purchasing, EHS, Maintenance, Sales, and Top Management to improve quality, consistency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Train employees on quality procedures and reinforce a culture of accountability and continual improvement. Qualifications
• 5+ years of quality experience in metals, recycling, smelting, foundry, manufacturing, or another industrial environment; leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of

ISO 9001

2015, internal auditing, CAPA/root-cause analysis, supplier quality, and customer quality systems.

• Experience with laboratory testing, calibration, alloy chemistry, or metals analysis strongly preferred; RMI/responsible sourcing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Quality, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Success in This Role
• ISO and RMI audits are organized and well prepared, with issues addressed promptly.
• Customer complaints, nonconformances, and corrective actions are resolved effectively.
• Laboratory controls, calibrations, product-release records, and quality metrics remain accurate and current.

Work Environment Onsite industrial role requiring regular presence in production and laboratory areas and use of required PPE. P. Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
