Job Description

Overview:
The Quality & Compliance Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring that MariMed's facilities consistently meet regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and corporate compliance objectives. This role directly supervises Compliance & Quality Specialists and Technicians, overseeing day-to-day quality operations, audits, and regulatory adherence. The Supervisor serves as the bridge between facility operations and corporate compliance leadership, ensuring audit readiness, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement of quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality & Compliance Oversight
  • Supervise daily quality and compliance activities across production, cultivation, packaging, and distribution.
  • Monitor adherence to GMP, IMS, OSHA, and state-specific cannabis regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), investigations, complaints, and recalls.
  • Conduct and document internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Staff Supervision & Training
  • Directly supervise Compliance & Quality Specialists and Technicians.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to ensure team members remain current on regulations, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Manage scheduling, audit scheduling, workload allocation, and performance evaluations for quality staff. Documentation & Recordkeeping
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of controlled documents including SOPs, batch records, and audit reports.
  • Support document lifecycle management in coordination with corporate Document Control.
  • Maintain audit-ready records for regulatory inspections. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, R&D, HR, Supply Chain and other teams to integrate compliance & quality into daily workflows.
  • Support packaging and labeling compliance in coordination with Marketing and Regulatory teams.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align facility practices with corporate quality objectives. Compliance Readiness
  • Act as point of contact during regulatory inspections and third-party audits.
  • Monitor changes in cannabis regulations and ensure timely updates to local practices.
  • Ensure staff completion of compliance and safety training programs.
  • All other duties as assigned. Required Physical Demands
  • Ability to travel between MariMed facilities as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work on a computer for up to eight hours per day.
  • Must be able to operate a phone, computer, printer, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  • Must be able to file paperwork both in person and electronically.
  • Must be able to sit, bend, stand, and stoop for multiple hours at a time.
  • Normal range of eyesight and hearing (can be corrected). Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess legal knowledge including but not limited to labor laws, employment regulations, state and federal laws as they relate to marijuana industry.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn and navigate new software as needed.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently with little to no supervision. Education And Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or operations within a regulated industry (cannabis, food & beverage, pharma, biotech preferred).
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, IMS, OSHA, and cannabis regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency with compliance tracking systems (e.
g., METRC, e
QMS, EDMS
).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
