Job Description

The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Atmospheric Science is accepting applications for its Associate Director position.

Operational Leadership:

Direct daily operations, workflows, and program staff.

Grant & Financial Oversight:

Oversee federal grant lifecycles, budgets, and compliance.

Agency Reporting & Compliance:

Manage federal deliverable schedules, compile project updates and submit formal annual/final reports to agencies.

Partnership Development:

Foster strategic relationships across academia, government, and industry.

STEM Initiatives:

Lead summer institutes, student pipelines, and mentorship programs

Conference Leadership:

Organize academic workshops, technical symposia, and interagency events. 15+

Years Leadership:

Extensive experience directing complex programs and operations.

Federal Grant Management:

Experience in managing major grants from federal US agencies (DoD, NSF, DOE).

Compliance & Finance:

Expertise in federal funding regulations, budget forecasting, and award management.

Partnership Building:

Experience in managing multi-institutional networks across academia, government, and industry.

Program Execution:

Experience in leading STEM outreach, student training programs, and academic symposia.

Academic Credentials:

M.S. degree in Education or related field.
