Job Summary The Finance Manager - Reporting & Compliance leads and develops a high-performing finance team while overseeing core financial operations, including reporting, accounting, budgeting support, audits, reconciliations, grant and contract reporting, and financial analysis. This role partners with finance leadership and organizational stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, effective budget management, compliance with financial requirements, and timely insight to support informed business decisions and organizational priorities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Builds and develops a high-functioning team to create consistent, efficient processes and support to the organization, including performance management, mentoring, and development of departmental leaders. Manages assigned team's project priorities and deadlines. Develops metrics for data analysis to monitor team processes and performance. Manages all internal and external financial reporting, accounting for subsidiaries, treasury, incentives, building leases, GAAP, and bank reconciliations. Responsible for providing tax support and Accounts Receivable oversight. Assists the Vice President of Finance with establishing and executing budgeting processes. Provides support to business leaders on understanding and controlling departmental budgets. Ensures accuracy of grant/contract reporting and investigates and resolves escalated issues and reports solutions to stakeholders and leaders. Provides analytical insight during monthly and annual financial close processes. Generates accurate financial reports, and recommends actions based on analysis of results. Performs ad hoc analysis and participates in special projects, as necessary. Assists with preparation of data analytics and presentations for use in leadership discussions. Acts as a liaison between financial auditors and accountants. Coordinates and completes all required audits to ensure compliance. Serves as point of contact for all financial questions and concerns regarding taxes, audits, etc. Serves as liaison with internal departments and represent the team in organizational and project meetings. Responsible for any additional tasks and responsibilities, as assigned. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting required. CPA highly preferred. Requirements At least 5 years' experience in Finance Operations, with at least 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory role. Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills while working without supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate detailed information in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. Capacity to process information quickly and discern relevant data to reach appropriate decisions. Values and demonstrates process improvement with an innovative mindset and challenges direct reports to do the same. Strong customer service mindset and the ability to use collaborative approaches in achieving diverse goals. Proven skill in strategic thinking, accelerating change, and relationship management. Advanced or expert skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Power BI or similar, preferred. Experience with Great Plains, preferred.
