Job Description

American Recycling is a national electronic recycling company. We recycle old computers and other electronic devices. We are an R-2 certified company. We are looking for an efficient Transportation and Compliance Manager to run our routing and collect recycling products through a fleet of Semi and box trucks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with drivers, customers, and the marketing department.
  • Schedule daily and weekly routes with available Trucks and drivers.
  • Confirm customers with calls and emails before routing.
  • Keep track of trucks on the road and resolve all problems, including truck repairs.
  • Keep track of the drivers' hours
  • Keep track of the fuel and pay the fuel bills. Replace fuel cards.
  • Keep track of tax and permit orders and arrange tax returns per state/ year.
  • Keep track of toll expenses
  • Give Drivers training on DOT, company safety regulations, and Samsara.
  • Give DOT and safety training to the new drivers. Add on Samsara, input mileage for each Truck, and pay subscriptions.
  • Renew truck documents (e.g., DOT, Insurance, and related documents) Prepare the drivers' compensation.
  • Make all payments related to logistics, Drivers, and Trucks.
  • Use Roadside assistance/Vendor to repair the Truck on the road.
After returning to base, conduct vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, and have the trucks checked before the next routing. Ensures customer service is maintained throughout the routes. Take calls from drivers at night and early morning. Keep and transmit complete and accurate records for each fleet vehicle and communicate route status to marketing, drivers, operations, and the President.
Qualification and Experience:
Minimum high school diploma with Skills in Microsoft Office, CRM software, Razor, and Google Suite. Minimum three years of experience in Dispatch/Route management.
