Brokerage Manager, Customs Entry Writers, Compliance Specialists, Import Coordinators, Branch Brokerage Personnel Position Summary Senior leadership role owning the governance, regulatory health, and operational integrity of all U.S. brokerage, freight forwarding, and trade compliance activities. Acts as primary Corporate License Holder, directing national compliance strategy across a high-profile beverage/spirits import client base, with strict adherence to C-TPAT, FMC, and multi-agency (CBP, TTB, FDA, USDA) regulations. Key Responsibilities Serve as designated corporate licensed customs broker; own compliance for all entries under the corporate permit (19 CFR Part 111, FMC, CBP, TTB, FDA, EPA, USDA) Build and enforce national SOPs across brokerage operations, bonded movements, FTZ activity, and ISF/AES filings — replacing siloed branch processes with one scalable model Oversee FMC compliance: house bills, tariffs, service contracts, rate filing rules Run continuous internal audit program for entry declarations, classifications, and value declarations; maintain audit-readiness for CBP Focused Assessments, CEE reviews, FMC audits Supervise and mentor compliance/brokerage teams; act as primary liaison with CBP, FMC, and clients on detentions, protests, and penalty mitigation Provide expert client advisory on duty minimization (drawback, protests), tariff disputes; oversee CBMA filings, IEEPA tariff refunds, C-TPAT maintenance Lead training, record-keeping, and \"responsible supervision and control\" compliance across all licensed brokers, including triennial reporting Partner with internal IT to modernize operations, identifying AI/automation opportunities Qualifications Active Individual U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB) — preferred, not mandatory 10+ years in customs brokerage and international logistics, including 5+ years senior management/supervisory experience Wine, spirits, or beverage import experience strongly preferred, with TTB and PGA knowledge Advanced ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) and entry processing systems proficiency Strong leadership presence — able to translate technical regulatory detail into executive-level business terms
