Job Summary A growing organization in the affordable housing and property management space is seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Portland, OR. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented compliance professional with strong experience in HUD, LIHTC, and Rural Development affordable housing programs. The Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist will help ensure properties remain fully compliant with applicable housing regulations, tenant file requirements, reporting standards, and agency expectations. This position offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to work closely with property managers, asset management teams, and government agencies in a role that directly supports housing program integrity. Key Responsibilities Review and monitor affordable housing tenant files to ensure full compliance with HUD, LIHTC, RD, and related program requirements. Coordinate and perform file audits, including periodic tenant recertification reviews and compliance testing. Prepare and submit monthly reports and required documentation to government agencies. Provide compliance guidance, orientation, and training to Property Managers, including corrective action plans when needed. Stay current on regional affordable housing regulations and communicate updates to internal teams. Prepare documentation for audit reviews and assist with responses to compliance findings.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$70,000 to $75,000 per year.
