Operations, Compliance, and Office Manager
Job Description
This role is an operations and compliance manager for a federal defense contractor. It acts as the integral operational piece of the company, bridging government compliance, facility management, and administrative support.
Breakdown of responsibilities:

Facility Security & Clearance:
Oversee facility security protocols, maintain classified materials, process personnel security clearances, and lead annual security audits.

Contract Administration & Compliance:
Monitor defense contract requirements (FARS and DFARS), handle some official reporting, issue subcontractor task orders, and track contract spending.

Office & Operations Management:
Direct day-to-day office logistics, vendor relations (cleaning, building maintenance), purchasing, and credit card expense reconciliation.

HR & Benefits Administration:
Manage payroll/HR systems, handle employee benefits issues, and oversee 401(k) account administration.
Qualifications and Experience Required :

Security Clearance Process:
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/secrecy/R43216.pdf) A bachelor's degree (in business or related field) with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Practical experience tracking labor costs, other costs and a general understanding of accounting Proven track record handling facility operations, office purchasing, and vendor coordination (repairs, cleaning services). Strong experience managing databases and filing systems Attention to detail and the ability to interface with various members of the organization to complete tasks.
Desirable :
Experience with federal defense security, as an assistant FSO or assisting with personnel clearances and the associated federal systems Experience working with defense/government contracts and/or familiarity with FARS, DFARS, related regulations, and official reporting platforms. Hands-on experience with managing employee benefits and 401K program administration
