Job Description

Position Summary Reporting to the Director, Corporate Counsel, this role serves as the lead advisor on global trade compliance and sanctions matters, providing strategic legal guidance across 100+ business units worldwide. The position partners with business and legal leaders to manage trade, sanctions, customs, anti-corruption, and regulatory compliance risks in a complex international environment. Key Responsibilities Advise business and corporate stakeholders on export controls (ITAR, EAR), economic sanctions (OFAC), customs, anti-boycott, anti-corruption, and other trade compliance matters. Develop and deliver global compliance training programs and maintain related policies, procedures, and guidance materials. Conduct trade compliance audits and assessments in partnership with Legal Department colleagues. Manage government inquiries, subpoenas, investigations, voluntary disclosures, and regulatory reporting obligations. Oversee trade compliance systems, including restricted-party screening and compliance monitoring tools. Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions through trade compliance due diligence. Collaborate with legal and business teams to update compliance documentation and negotiate trade, export control, sanctions, and anti-corruption provisions in commercial agreements. Qualifications J.D. and active bar membership. 15+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience. Deep expertise in global trade compliance, including export controls, sanctions, customs, and anti-corruption laws. Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, quality, and cost efficiency, while exercising sound judgment in evaluating AI-generated outputs.
