Job Description

Internal Audit Antifraud and Investigations

Location:

Open to three locations

San Francisco, CA 94103

Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Dallas, TX 75226

Duration:

3 months

Schedule:

Tuesday-Thursday in office; flexible hours based on business needs; collaboration may span U.S., LATAM, EU, and APAC time zones

Hours:

25-30 hours per week on average, with up to 40 hours per week based on experience and case load

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid

Compensation:

$85-$90 per hour

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Internal Audit and Ethics & Compliance professional to support an independent assessment of an enterprise Ethics & Compliance program. This role will provide subject matter expertise, evaluate program design and effectiveness, identify gaps and root causes, and develop practical recommendations and an executive-ready improvement roadmap.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute an evidence-based Ethics & Compliance program maturity assessment

Evaluate program design, operational effectiveness, governance, monitoring, and compliance culture

Conduct stakeholder interviews and review policies, processes, governance structures, data, and supporting documentation

Develop assessment methodologies, interview approaches, document review requirements, and benchmarking frameworks

Assess compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions and organizational environments

Benchmark program effectiveness against the U.S. Department of Justice Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs (ECCP) guidance and relevant industry practices

Develop maturity ratings by program component

Identify program gaps, root causes, and related risk implications

Develop prioritized recommendations and an actionable improvement roadmap

Prepare executive-ready summaries, findings, observations, and presentations

Manage multiple workstreams independently and communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders

Qualifications

Proven experience conducting Ethics & Compliance program assessments for large multinational organizations

Direct experience assessing compliance programs against

DOJ ECCP

guidance

Experience evaluating global compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions

Experience assessing compliance program design and operational effectiveness

Experience with compliance governance, monitoring, and testing

Experience conducting culture and conduct risk assessments

Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, evaluating evidence, identifying gaps, and determining root causes

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience communicating sensitive findings objectively and persuasively

Relevant corporate experience in ethics, compliance, internal audit, professional services, regulatory, legal, or related environments

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within technology, marketplace, or highly regulated industries

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Legal or regulatory background

Former compliance officer, regulator, or similar subject matter expertise

Spanish language skills
