Job Description

Senior Manager, Compliance - Broadband BBGeomatics, LLC Jackson, MS Job Details Full-time $125,000 - $150,000 a year 4 hours ago Benefits Relocation assistance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Professional development assistance Qualifications Construction regulatory compliance Team leadership Driver's License Bachelor's degree Compliance reporting for grants Productivity software Business Achieving project delivery timelines Accounting Senior leadership Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description About the Role BBGeomatics helps communities and providers deliver federally funded broadband — from route design and survey through construction — and keeps those programs compliant with the agencies funding them. Our clients don't simply hire us to perform the work. They rely on us to run their programs and keep them audit-ready from the first dollar to project closeout. Demand has outgrown our team. This is a newly created senior role leading the broadband compliance function. You will own the accuracy of everything that goes to our funding agencies, supervise and develop our compliance project coordinators, and serve as the experienced decision-maker when a compliance question doesn't have an obvious answer. For the right person, this role grows into client-facing program leadership — becoming the person our clients trust to run their projects end to end. What You'll Do Supervise, train, and review the work of Project Coordinators - Compliance, setting deadlines and quality standards for the team. Review project scope, budgets, timelines, and reporting before they go to funding agencies. Serve as a point of contact with funding agencies and auditors on compliance matters. Interpret federal and state funding requirements — BEAD, CPF, RUS/ReConnect, and similar programs — and translate them into practical written guidance the team can follow. Build and maintain compliance playbooks, documentation standards, and reporting calendars so program knowledge lives in the company rather than in one person's head. Identify compliance risk across the project portfolio and recommend fixes before they become findings. Over time, take on direct client relationship and program leadership responsibility. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a closely related field. 10+ years of compliance experience on federally or state funded infrastructure programs — broadband or telecom preferred; utility, transportation, or comparable programs considered. 3+ years reviewing or overseeing the work of others. Working knowledge of federal grant administration — 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance), reimbursement and draw processes, and agency reporting requirements. The temperament to be the person a client or agency calls with a hard question: clear written and verbal communication, and the judgment to make a decision rather than escalate every issue. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines across a team. Nice to Have CPA certification. Direct BEAD experience, or work with a state broadband office. Construction-phase compliance exposure — Davis-Bacon, environmental and permitting review, or Build America, Buy America requirements. Why BBGeomatics We are a growing geomatics and network solutions firm with a substantial and expanding federally funded broadband portfolio. This role is not a back-office seat. You will have real ownership, direct access to leadership, and a clear path to running client programs of your own as the business grows. Location & Work Arrangement This position is based in our Jackson, Mississippi office, and working alongside the team in Jackson is our preference — the first year of this role involves a great deal of knowledge transfer that happens fastest in person. A hybrid schedule works well. For an exceptional candidate, we will consider a fully remote arrangement, and relocation assistance is available for the right person willing to move to Jackson. Working Conditions Primarily office and desk work. Travel is light at the outset — expect under 10% during your first several months while you come up to speed. As you take on client relationship and program leadership responsibility, travel to client sites, agency meetings, and industry conferences increases, and could reach 50%. We would rather tell you that now than surprise you with it later. A valid driver's license is required. To Apply Send your resume to with a short note on the funding programs you've worked with. BBGeomatics, LLC is an equal opportunity employer. This posting summarizes the primary responsibilities of the position and is not an exhaustive list of duties.
