As a Product Compliance and Safety Engineer, you will be the guardian of our products' integrity, safety, regulatory alignment and compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Legal—to ensure that every product we design, manufacture, and ship meets or exceeds global safety standards and environmental regulations for the global off-highway equipment market. Your mission is to identify potential hazards early in the product development lifecycle, mitigate risks, and navigate the complex web of international compliance.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the global Standards and Regulations team on global initiatives and regulatory committees Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify and apply global standards and certifications, ensuring products comply with international and regional regulations, providing "design-for-compliance" expertise. Perform risk assessments, hazard analyses (e.g., FMEA), and safety reviews throughout the product lifecycle. Maintain detailed compliance technical files, test reports, and product safety documentation, including compliance labels and manuals. Assess the regulatory impact of engineering design changes on existing certifications and compliance books as required. Interpret standards and regulations and communicate those into clear technical requirements. Investigate product safety concerns and lead corrective actions. Ensure the consistency and relevance of safety technical solutions and justification. Carry out gap analyses for changes in standards impacting product safety. Participate in the Product Safety Committee. Support legal team on product litigation and incident investigation as required.EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, or regulated product engineering in related industry Demonstrated experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, or quality assurance.EXPERTISE
Technical knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, etc. Knowledge of product safety standards and regulations Knowledge of risk analysis tools (such as FMEA) and product audit Functional Safety knowledge and experience a plus Interpersonal and communication skills Detailed orientated with professional presentation skills Highly organized, pragmatic, and analytical English fluentEDUCATION
