Job Summary:
- The Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the import and export compliance program for multiple Teledyne Marine business units within the US, Mexico and Canada.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- + Lead and administer the trade compliance program for assigned Teledyne Marine business units.
EAR, ITAR, OFAC, U.S.
Customs Regulations, and other applicable trade regulations. + Perform restricted party screening oversight and ensure appropriate due diligence activities are completed. + Provide guidance regarding deemed exports, technology transfers, anti-boycott requirements, and international business transactions. + Monitor import and export transactions and resolve compliance holds, shipment blocks, and regulatory issues. + With support from operations, administer USMCA trade program opportunities including qualification of parts. + Ensure customer orders and corresponding goods are compliant and released for shipment + In conjunction with sales team, interface with customers to facilitate information sharing related to trade compliance policies. + Conduct periodic compliance audits, self-assessments, and monitoring activities to evaluate program effectiveness. + Identify compliance risks and drive corrective and preventive actions when required. + Partner with business leadership, operations, engineering, supply chain, contracts, shipping, sales, and other functions to ensure compliant business practices. + Prepare and deliver trade compliance training and awareness communications to employees at all organizational levels. + Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and assess business impacts. + Support investigations involving potential non-compliance with import/export regulations and assist with voluntary disclosures when appropriate. + Coordinate with Corporate International Trade Compliance and external advisors on complex compliance matters. + Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory retention requirements. + Support government inquiries, audits, and information requests related to international trade compliance.- Education and Experience
- Required
- + Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, International Business, Legal Studies, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Preferred
- + U.S. Customs Broker License. + Experience supporting manufacturing, defense, aerospace, marine, or technology businesses. + Experience with enterprise trade compliance software solutions. + Fluency in Spanish. + Professional trade compliance certifications.

- Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position is a senior Trade Compliance leadership role responsible for leading compliance initiatives and supporting strategic objectives across assigned business units. The role does not currently have direct reports but provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced personnel and may assume supervisory responsibility as the organization evolves.
- Work Authorization Requirement
- Due to the nature of the work performed, this position may require access to export-controlled information governed by ITAR.
