At Dell, we view our compliance program as a competitive advantage, and we are seeking an experienced Legal Director for Regulatory Compliance to lead our regulatory compliance legal team. This leader will help drive Dell's compliance strategy across Trade Compliance (Export Controls, Imports and Sanctions), Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Competition, and Anti-Money Laundering. What you'll achieve: This role reports to Dell's Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer in the Legal department. In this role you will be the strategic partner to the business and the legal department, helping shape compliance priorities, sales strategy, government affairs initiatives, and other key business priorities.
You will:
Lead and manage strategic compliance initiatives across Dell's regulatory subject matter experts in Trade, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Competition, and Anti-Money Laundering; analyze new regulatory requirements; and develop cohesive strategies that support compliance and enable business growth Influence strategic initiatives across Dell's global business, including implementing new regulatory requirements, supporting government affairs priorities, and helping shape business strategy with compliance as a central focus Provide strategic and tactical compliance counsel to key stakeholders on Dell's anti-corruption, trade compliance, and gifts and hospitality policies, as well as the U.S. FCPA and other anti-corruption, customs, sanctions, and export control laws Advise Dell's Global Trade Compliance organization and key business stakeholders on legal and compliance risks, ensuring internal processes and procedures meet applicable trade regulatory requirements Lead, conduct, or support investigations involving alleged violations of law, Dell policies, Dell's Code of Conduct, or Dell's Partner Code of Conduct. Contribute to strategic team and department initiatives, including industry benchmarking, to identify potential compliance gaps and opportunities to strengthen Dell's compliance program Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide practical guidance on their application to Dell's anti-corruption, gifts and hospitality, and trade compliance programs Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here's what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements J.D. and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 12+ years of legal experience, preferably in trade and/or anti-corruption compliance, internal investigations, and risk mitigation in a global business environment Experience leading a team of legal professionals Proven global experience as a trade compliance counsel in a business environment and strong knowledge of U.S. trade compliance laws, with expertise in at least one of the following: U.S. sanctions, export controls, or customs/tariff laws Expertise with international trade laws and regulatory investigation procedures Demonstrated ability to develop defensive and proactive legal strategies, anticipate compliance risks, and "see around corners" Technical Aptitude
