Job Description Director of Compliance and Training (Operations) Tysons, VA, United States of America $ 100,000.00 - $ 100,000.00 Back Apply Now Back Apply Now Job Skills / Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Must have the ability to hold a State Security Business License in multiple states Work in conjunction with operational partners to develop practical training programs in order to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory mandated training. May conduct leadership training to security professionals and supervisors. Conduct special projects on an as-needed basis to support each region. Provide teaching and instruction both virtually and in-person. Plan, organize, and deliver orientation and training programs. Offer specific training programs to help officers maintain or improve job skills. Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things. Maintain detailed records and proper documentation of all completed trainings and required licensing documentation. Run and submit reports to the field on the status of training requirements. Assist in the development and oversight of annual and quarterly training requirements within each region. Evaluate program effectiveness and conduct opinion surveys or needs assessments. Monitor and respond to course comments and employee feedback. Communicate necessary information to supervisors, co-workers, and employees by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Physical security compliance with state and local government regulatory agencies. Interface with state and local compliance regulatory agencies. Ensure that all officers are licensed in accordance with established state and local regulatory guidelines and standards. Collection and submission of all required applications and supporting documentation to state licensing and regulatory agencies. Collect and organize source data for computer entry including but not limited to security guard licenses, state and/or job specific certifications, MVR, and all training certificates. Perform input of compliance data from source documents into the database (WinTeam Compliance Tracker) ensuring that the data is current and useable. Run compliance reports to identify missing compliance documentation. Follow up with appropriate individuals to obtain missing source documentation. Ongoing tracking of all incoming licenses, state and/or job specific certifications, MVR, and training. Provide weekly compliance status report. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree - Criminal Justice, preferred First Aid/CPR AED Instructor-Trainer or ability to obtain Previous experience in the security field or law enforcement preferred Required Skills/Abilities Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) or similar software. Experience with WinTeam, eHub, Lighthouse preferred. Experience with MS Teams preferred Must be detailed-oriented. Self-motivated and self-starter. Must be flexible and able to cross train.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Sitting may be required up to 50% of the time.
Working Conditions:
Seldom exposed to loud noise, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather conditions (depending on season), moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles Work in an indoor environment up to approximately 75% of the time.
