- What You'll Do
- Export Classification & Regulatory Analysis
- + Perform export classifications and jurisdiction determinations for: + Engineering drawings + Bills of Material (BOMs) + Technical data + Software and source code + Aerospace systems and components + Determine appropriate classifications under: + EAR (Export Administration Regulations) + ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) + Conduct classification reviews using established Order of Review methodologies •Partner with Engineering Teams•+ Work directly with engineers to evaluate technical information + Challenge assumptions and validate technical interpretations + Translate regulatory requirements into practical business guidance + Serve as a trusted advisor on export compliance matters •Compliance, Risk & Investigations•+ Support compliance reviews, investigations, and risk assessments + Analyze potential export control concerns and recommend solutions + Collaborate with Global Trade Compliance and Legal teams on sensitive or complex matters + Help ensure compliance while maintaining business objectives •Process Improvement & Knowledge Development•+ Contribute to export decision guides and classification procedures + Recommend and implement process improvements + Enhance documentation, workflows, and compliance tools + Support organizational knowledge sharing and best practices •Enterprise-Wide Support•+ Work across multiple programs, product lines, and engineering disciplines + Support global stakeholders and business teams + Manage both routine classifications and complex, high-visibility requests + Adapt quickly to changing priorities and emerging compliance challenges •Required Qualifications•+ Experience supporting export classifications under: + EAR + ITAR + Ability to evaluate technical engineering data and documentation + Strong analytical and decision-making skills + Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements + Experience working with engineering, technical, or aerospace-related information + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment •What Sets You Apart•+ Ability to confidently challenge and engage technical experts + Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information + Strong business judgment balanced with compliance awareness + Ability to explain complex regulations in simple, practical terms + Self-starter who actively seeks answers and builds expertise + Ability to manage high-volume workloads while maintaining accuracy + Strong relationship-building skills with engineers and stakeholders •What Success Looks Like•In this role, you'll: + Build credibility as a trusted compliance partner across engineering teams + Achieve self-classifier status with minimal oversight + Make sound classification decisions with increasing independence + Contribute meaningful process improvements and efficiencies + Enhance guidance documents used throughout the organization + Help strengthen the company's global compliance posture •Why Join Us?
