We are currently hiring for a Product Safety Representative to join our Research and Development team. The Product Safety Representative - Chemicals ensures that MAPEI's U.S.-produced materials meet all applicable product safety, labeling, transportation, and chemical regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining SDS and labeling accuracy, supporting new product development, and ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), warning labels, and transport classifications per U.S. regulations. Support product compliance with federal and state chemical safety laws (OSHA, TSCA, Prop 65, Right-to-Know, etc.). Evaluate raw materials and new formulas for hazard classifications, HMIS ratings, and labeling needs. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to documentation and product declarations. Prepare regulatory filings and support product approvals for U.S. and international markets. Collaborate with R D, Marketing, and Global Product Safety teams on labeling, compliance, and new product launches. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum requirement of BS or higher in Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Toxicology or other Chemical Prefer One or more years of experience in MSDS and warning label authoring Experience with the use of Chem Advisor database and MSDS Authoring software, preferred, not required. Working knowledge of all applicable Canadian Regulatory codes and practices including DSL and NDSL rules and regulation, preferred, not required.
