Job Description

Elevance Health is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to support accurate, timely onboarding and recredentialing of healthcare providers in our networks. In this role, you will manage provider files, perform primary source verification, track expirables, and ensure compliance with NCQA, URAC, and regulatory standards. You'll partner with providers, internal teams, and external agencies to resolve discrepancies, maintain clean provider data, and meet turnaround targets. Responsibilities Coordinate end-to-end provider credentialing and recredentialing processes Collect, review, and verify provider applications and supporting documents Perform primary source verification for licenses, education, board certification, and sanctions Maintain accurate, up-to-date provider data in credentialing and claims systems Monitor expirables and ensure timely updates to prevent network disruptions Ensure compliance with NCQA, URAC, and regulatory and plan-specific standards Prepare files and reports for credentialing committee review and audits Communicate with providers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies Track turnaround times, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements Support special projects related to network quality, expansion, or compliance Required Skills Provider credentialing Primary source verification Data entry and management Credentialing software (e.g., Cactus, Echo, Symplr) Regulatory compliance (NCQA/URAC) Attention to detail Excel and database reporting Process documentation Provider relations communication Time and workload prioritization
