Job Description

Position Summary

This Analyst, Inflight Regulatory Standards provides day to day support to the Manager, Inflight Standards and Senior Analyst. This role supports the maintenance, control and implementation of inflight standards, documentation, compliance tracking and related administrative activities. This role also serves as an initial point of contact for routine Crewmember policy and procedure questions, triages inquiries and the escalation of matters requiring regulatory interpretation or policy decisions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist Senior Analyst with maintenance and updating of the Flight Attendant Manual and other FAA-required safety and regulatory documentation

Prepare draft versions of Flight Attendant Manual revisions, notices, bulletins and related communications for review and approval

Update manual references and tags, including ISARP, DCT and CFR references, and maintain documentation, standards and communication tracking tools

Ensure regulatory forms, policies, procedures, communications and other content are available and up to date

Maintain Inflight Standards SharePoint and intranet content, including document libraries and related reference materials

Collect and organize data for periodic audits, compliance checks and SMS/SAS reviews; log corrective actions and track status to completion

Support change management activities by preparing change documentation, coordinating rollout logistics and tracking completion of related tasks

Log and triage Inflight Crewmember inquiries, providing routine support and routing matters requiring additional review to the appropriate Senior Analyst or Manager

Prepare training request documentation and track training program updates and revision cycles in coordination with JetBlue University

Coordinate with Corporate Publications on Flight Attendant Manual distribution, including updates and revisions

Prepare dashboards, reports and other administrative materials to support Manager and Senior Analyst review

Research airline policy, procedure and regulatory information as requested to support standards development and program work

Complete special projects as needed

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Two (2) years Customer Service or aviation background
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access (or similar database software)
  • Ability to understand and organize Federal guidance and rulemaking for application in applicable policy and procedure
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing information quickly
  • Ability to work independently, under minimal supervision, and in a team environment
  • Ability to develop and create ad hoc reports as required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong team building and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must maintain Inflight Crewmember qualification

Must have the ability to successfully complete JetBlue Inflight Training Program, including Initial Training and Annual Continuous Education Programs. Maintains Inflight credentials and operational experience through line flying throughout the year, including Operational Support Flying, monthly Leadership Flying and/or Leadership Currency Flying,

Must have the ability to walk comfortably down the aircraft aisle while facing forward, fit quickly through the over wing exit, and sit in the Flight Attendant jumpseat without modification.

Able to reach six feet three inches (6'3) without shoes.

Ability to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.

Occasional travel required (10%)

Must be able to maintain a valid passport or equivalent travel documents to freely enter & exit all destinations where JetBlue flies.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

One (1) year communications experience in a corporate environment

Technical writing experience

Working knowledge of Aviation Quality Database or similar quality, compliance or tracking systems

Previous Airline/ Flight Attendant experience

Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
