Akkodis is seeking an ECC Professional 1 for a Contract job with a client in Orlando, FL . The ideal candidate will have experience in trade compliance, customs classification, import/export regulations, and tariff classification processes, along with strong analytical and research skills.
Rate Range:
$30/hour to $35/hour on W2 ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. ECC Professional 1
Job Responsibilities Include:
Research, analyze, and assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) classifications for imported products, equipment, materials, components, and spare parts. Evaluate technical product information obtained from engineering drawings, specifications, product literature, suppliers, and internal business partners to determine accurate tariff classifications. Apply classification methodologies using HTSUS, General Rules of Interpretation (GRIs), CBP CROSS rulings, Explanatory Notes, and applicable customs regulations. Develop and maintain classification documentation, supporting justifications, and audit-ready records to ensure compliance with customs regulations and corporate standards. Collaborate with customs operations, engineering, procurement, supply chain, regulatory compliance, and business teams to obtain information and resolve classification-related questions.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, Business Administration, Trade Compliance, Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) classification principles, customs regulations, and trade compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to analyze technical product information and accurately determine tariff classifications based on regulatory guidance and classification methodologies. Experience researching customs rulings, regulatory requirements, classification determinations, and import/export compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting customs audits, regulatory compliance programs, import/export operations, or trade compliance initiatives within a corporate environment. Familiarity with
CBP CROSS
rulings, Explanatory Notes, General Rules of Interpretation (GRIs), and classification governance processes. Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, supply chain, or global trade environments. Knowledge of customs documentation requirements, classification quality reviews, and tariff revalidation activities. Pay Details:
