Job Description

Trade Compliance Specialist responsible for import/export classification, customs documentation, trade program support, shipment compliance, and ERP maintenance of international trade data. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics. Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations. Knowledge of Foreign Trade Regulations. Experience with HTS classification. Experience determining country of origin. Knowledge of U.S. Customs valuation methods. Experience reviewing import and export documentation. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP. Experience with trade automation or trade compliance software. Basic understanding of U.S. trade regulations. Experience supporting customs entry reviews and trade compliance documentation. Preferred Skills Experience with Duty Drawback programs. Experience with Temporary Import Bonds. Experience with Foreign Trade Zones. Experience with CTPAT. Experience supporting customs audits. Experience maintaining trade compliance data within SAP material master or similar ERP records. Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders. Experience tracking duty exposure and trade compliance metrics. Job Responsibilities Maintain accurate HTS classifications for imported and exported products. Determine and document country of origin. Support application of appropriate U.S. Customs valuation methods. Review and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and related import/export documentation. Track international shipments for customs delays and regulatory holds. Support implementation and administration of customs programs, including Duty Drawback and Temporary Import Bonds. Coordinate pre-clearance and shipping instructions with customs brokers and freight forwarders. Maintain trade compliance data within ERP systems such as SAP. Support integration of HTS, country of origin, and other trade data into material master records. Assist with internal trade compliance audits. Perform pre-entry and post-entry Customs and Border Protection reviews. Review customs documentation for classification, valuation, and origin accuracy. Prepare reporting on trade compliance metrics and duty exposure. Support documentation requirements for Foreign Trade Zone, CTPAT, and other applicable customs programs.
