Since 1985, FCB has been setting high standards and certifying professionals across fields such as addiction treatment, mental health, behavioral health peer services, child welfare, and medical billing. Certification Specialist The Florida Certification Board (FCB) is seeking a qualified and highly motivated professional to serve as a Certification Specialist. This position is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing certification applications and supporting documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, and certification standards. The Certification Specialist will manage an assigned caseload, provide technical assistance and customer service to applicants and certified professionals, maintain accurate application records, and perform related administrative and clerical duties. This position works collaboratively within the Certification Department and reports directly to the Director of Certification. Primary Responsibilities Interpret and apply certification policies and procedures. Review applications and supporting documentation for compliance with established standards. Maintain accurate and timely records of all application-processing activities. Manage web-based application processes and assigned caseloads. Respond professionally and promptly to telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence. Prepare and proofread correspondence, documents, and other written materials. Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed. Remain accountable to the Director of Certification Operations for the proper implementation of certification policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience receiving, reviewing, and processing applications for certification, licensure, or a similar compliance-based program is required. Demonstrated ability to interpret program requirements and evaluate submitted documentation for compliance. Proficiency in using cloud-based software and web-based application systems. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Position Information Full-time employment is required. A period of training at the FCB office and successful completion of a level 2 background check are required.
