We're looking for an Operations Compliance Analyst to join a community banking team and play an important role in monitoring regulatory compliance, identifying risk, supporting audits and exams, and helping bank employees navigate compliance requirements. This is more than a paperwork position. You'll have the opportunity to work across the bank, build relationships with internal teams, and have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the bank's compliance program.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Monitor and test compliance with applicable banking laws, regulations, policies, and procedures Stay current on regulatory changes and help communicate new requirements throughout the organization Conduct scheduled compliance reviews and document findings, root causes, remediation efforts, and control gaps Monitor compliance risk indicators and maintain accurate documentation Serve as a resource to employees by answering compliance questions and providing guidance Assist with compliance training and education as needed Help prepare for internal audits, regulatory examinations, and external reviews Work with various departments to identify potential compliance risks and help develop practical solutions Review policies, procedures, regulations, and other materials to help ensure ongoing compliance Support the Compliance team and other bank operations as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Banking compliance experience preferred Knowledge of deposit compliance and financial crimes laws and regulations Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to interpret regulations, policies, legal documents, and industry guidance Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with employees at all levels of an organization Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Strong judgment, integrity, dependability, and professionalism Proficiency with computers and standard office software
CERTIFICATION CRCM
certification is preferred, or willingness to pursue the certification.
