Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an Onsite Compliance Specialist to support prevailing wage, certified payroll, and apprenticeship compliance for an assigned construction or renewable energy project. This position serves as the primary day-to-day compliance resource onsite, working closely with project leadership, subcontractors, payroll teams, and internal compliance experts. The Compliance Specialist will review documentation, monitor workforce and payroll activity, identify potential compliance issues, coordinate corrective actions, and maintain accurate, audit-ready records. Key Responsibilities Monitor project and subcontractor compliance with prevailing wage, apprenticeship, payroll, labor classification, and documentation requirements. Review certified payroll reports for wage rates, classifications, fringe benefits, deductions, hours worked, and overall accuracy. Identify payroll discrepancies, potential underpayments, classification concerns, and missing documentation. Coordinate corrected payrolls, supporting documentation, restitution, and other corrective actions as needed. Review apprenticeship registrations, wage progressions, labor hours, participation requirements, and apprentice-to-journeyworker ratios. Compare onsite workforce activity with reported payroll and compliance documentation. Maintain project trackers, deadlines, action items, compliance records, and status reports. Communicate with subcontractors regarding missing information, compliance findings, deadlines, and corrective actions. Confirm required wage determinations, notices, and compliance postings are current and properly displayed onsite. Maintain organized, audit-ready records and support internal reviews, client audits, and regulatory inquiries. Escalate significant or unresolved compliance concerns to compliance leadership. Participate in project meetings, subcontractor discussions, and compliance reviews as needed. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in compliance, certified payroll, payroll, construction administration, project coordination, workforce programs, or a related field . Experience working in a regulated, audited, construction, payroll, or documentation-intensive environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to review detailed payroll, employee, apprenticeship, and project documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and standard business applications. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors, deadlines, and compliance issues simultaneously. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Preferred Experience Prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance. Davis-Bacon Act and certified payroll reporting. Wage determinations, fringe benefits, and labor classifications. Registered apprenticeship programs and apprentice-to-journeyworker ratios. LCPtracker, SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau, or similar systems. Construction, renewable energy, infrastructure, or subcontractor compliance. Audit preparation, worker interviews, or onsite compliance reviews. Work Environment This is a 100% onsite, project-based position supporting an assigned project and its subcontractors. Regular onsite presence is required. Work schedules may align with construction activities and may require flexibility based on project operations, audits, meetings, and compliance needs.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
