PCG is seeking a DOT Compliance Analyst for its' corporate location in Lenexa, KS. The DOT Compliance Analyst oversees DOT driver qualification, FMCSA compliance, regulatory filings, and fleet-related documentation to ensure drivers and branches meet federal, state, and company requirements. It also supports branch leadership, Risk Management, Legal, Government Compliance, and Drug Testing by monitoring records, resolving compliance issues, managing reporting obligations, and helping reduce fleet-related risk.
Essential Functions:
DOT Compliance and Driver Qualification Manage DOT Driver Qualification Files and determine driver eligibility in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain DOT compliance records, ensuring audit readiness and timely documentation retrieval. Provide guidance to branch personnel on DOT requirements, driver qualifications, and regulatory compliance. Partner with internal departments to support CDL driver monitoring, drug testing compliance, and safety performance history requirements. Monitor CSA, inspection, crash, and violation data; identify issues and manage FMCSA DataQs submissions through resolution. Maintain driver hours-of-service records, ELD data, logs, and related DOT recordkeeping requirements. Review driver vehicle inspection reports and support compliance with vehicle safety regulations. Track and maintain commercial motor vehicle accident records and reporting requirements. Communicate compliance concerns, corrective actions, and regulatory updates to branch and company leadership. Assist with DOT-related training initiatives and provide backup support for departmental operations. Support driver recognition programs and advise management on motor vehicle record reviews and safe driving practices. Regulatory Filings and Reporting Prepare and manage state and federal fleet compliance filings, permits, and registrations, including IFTA, IRP, UCR, 2290, MCS-150, KYU, and related programs. Collect, verify, and report mileage, fuel, and operational data to regulatory agencies while ensuring accurate fee payment and cost allocation. Maintain GPS-based fuel reporting and vehicle compliance records, including manual documentation when required. Monitor CARB compliance requirements and coordinate testing and reporting activities as needed. Identify and communicate compliance deficiencies to branch leadership and fleet management, supporting timely corrective actions. Ensure ongoing compliance with transportation and fleet regulatory requirements across the organization. Legal, Government Compliance, and Certifications Collaborate with Legal and Government Compliance departments to support reporting, regulatory requirements, and year-end activities. Provide documentation and records in support of litigation, audits, and regulatory inquiries. Coordinate and distribute certificates, permits, and compliance documentation in support of bidding and business operations. Risk Management and Corrective Action Support Partner with the Risk Management department to support accident investigations, reporting, and follow-up activities. Coordinate corrective action and driver training initiatives when required. Support enforcement of company fleet and driver safety policies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Strong understanding of fleet operations, transportation logistics, and DOT compliance Analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in transportation, fleet management, logistics, or DOT compliance. Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience managing DOT and FMCSA compliance programs, including Driver Qualification Files, Hours of Service, CSA monitoring, audits, and regulatory reporting. Experience administering DOT compliance programs and regulatory filings such as IFTA, IRP, UCR, MCS-150, and related transportation compliance programs preferred. Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs), driver qualification management, and compliance monitoring systems preferred. Experience in the construction industry or a related field preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to interpret regulations and provide compliance guidance to operational leadership.
