The Compliance Officer is responsible for helping ensure Whiteshore Funding operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, company policies, and contractual requirements, while ensuring that Whiteshore maintains its extremely high ethical and moral standards as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Oversee the company's overall compliance program. Ensure Whiteshore maintains its current high ethical and moral standards across all areas of the organization . Promote a company culture built around integrity, transparency, professionalism, and doing business the right way. Monitor changes in federal and state laws and regulations that may impact the business. Review company sales, marketing, financing/brokerage, communication, and operational practices for compliance. Develop, maintain, and update internal compliance policies and procedures. Review marketing materials, emails, text messages, call practices, disclosures, agreements, and other customer-facing communications. Help ensure proper documentation, disclosures, authorizations, and recordkeeping. Monitor compliance related to calling, texting, email marketing, and customer communications. Review new products, lenders, programs, partnerships, and business practices from a compliance perspective. Identify potential compliance risks and recommend practical, solution-oriented improvements. Conduct periodic internal compliance reviews and audits. Assist management in responding to complaints, disputes, regulatory inquiries, or potential compliance issues. Train and educate employees on compliance requirements, ethical business practices, and company policies. Work with outside attorneys, consultants, lenders, vendors, and other professionals when necessary. Maintain organized compliance records and documentation. Help management establish controls designed to reduce regulatory, legal, ethical, and reputational risk. Serve as an internal resource for employees who have compliance-related questions. Continuously evaluate company practices as Whiteshore expands into new products, markets, states, and business lines. Overall Objective The Compliance Officer's role is to help Whiteshore continue to grow aggressively and responsibly while protecting the company, its customers, its employees, and its reputation. Above all, this individual will be responsible for helping ensure that as Whiteshore grows, the high ethical and moral standards that the company has been built around are maintained throughout every level of the organization.
